Jack Andraka

Scientist, inventor, celebrity and now, at age 18 — author.

Jack Andraka is a little different from most teens.

He invented a cost-effective early detection test for pancreatic cancer at age 15, was invited as first lady Michelle Obama's guest for the 2013 State of the Union address and has received acceptance letters from some of the nation's top colleges.

Last month, his memoir, "Breakthrough: How One Teen Innovator Is Changing the World," was published by HarperCollins. His co-author is journalist Matthew Lysiak. CLICK FOR MORE
