We're looking for an intern! Martin Literary & Media Management, based on Mercer Island, seeks an enthusiastic, organized and dedicated editorial/marketing intern, for a long-term internship beginning as soon as possible. This intern will be required to work in-office one day each week for four hours; the rest of the assigned projects may be done remotely (totaling 12-15 hours/week.) Responsibilities include but are not limited to: proofreading, editing and designing book proposals and marketing materials, composing and sending out all query rejection letters, and filing and tracking royalty reports. 

 

Requirements: College student, in their sophomore or junior year, majoring in English. Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop. Bonus if you are familiar with Wix! Must have access to own method of transportation. Excellent writing skills. Must have a love for the publishing industry and learning more about how books are born.

 

This internship is unpaid, but students can earn 6-9 college credits for the year. MLM has a flexible schedule, and time can be taken off during midterms, final exams, and holidays.
